124grn cast data for 9mm

I just got done casting 500 124 grn boolits for my 9mm, just wondering what you guys were using for load data. My Lyman book doesn't list anything for 124grn boolit. Thanks

I use 4.1gr of hp38 (win 231) under a 125gr cast bullet. Load should be the same for 124gr. Very accurate load in my gun.

4.4gr Unique Works well for me

I shoot a light load with the Lee cast 124 grain bullet.
3.8 grains of W231.
Cycles and groups well in my S&W 439.

3.7gr Titegroup. A little smokey indoors, absolutely fine outdoors.

I use the same load for Fronier and Berrys 124gr electroplated lead as well.

Lyman has a cast load close to 124 gr (120 gr). Start at the min and work up from those.

124/125 grain 9mm bullets are the most common weight used. Cast or plated, this weight of bullet is ideal in almost every 9mm made. Even the military.
If your book has no loading data for cast or FMJ 9mm bullets in 124/125 grain range, then that book is junk.

lyman 49th is considered one of the best reloading books......

sorry, guess I should of explained a bit better, I have the Lyman cast bullet handbook and that is what I was looking at for data.

Thats what Iheard as well so I bought one and I am in the same boat as the OP. No 124gr 9mm load is listed... But all the bullets are 124gr.. Confusing.

~ 4.4gr Titegroup or 231 should get you fairly close to Minor PF for IPSC (1050fps)

Damn 4.4 grains of titegroup sounds hot, I usually rock 3.5g

On the flip side I use 5.3 grains of Unique for my 124g RN boolits and everyone here is saying they use about 4.4-4.7
