A friend is going to give me some Speer TNT 125gr to try in my Sav. 10FP-LE2B I know my barrel is 1 in 10" meant for heavier bullets buy I'm curiose to try them anyway.
Does anyone there have any suggestions of loads you might have tried???
My friend is trying them in his Rem 700P
Thanks
Bob

You'll have to work up a load for your rifle. There are lots of 125 grain loads on Hodgdon's site. I'd use IMR4064 if I was doing it. 46.0 to 50.1(compressed) Don't worry about compressed loads. They work just fine.
I wouldn't worry too much about the rifling. There aren't many .308 barrels that aren't made for heavier bullets. Work up a load and see what happens. You may end up with a .30 calibre varmint rifle. Don't even think about using a TNT bullet for deer sized game though. They're varmint bullets.
