I just got back trying out some 125gr FB Speer bullets in my Savage 10FP-LE2B (308).Them shot better then I thought we would :D,seeing that the barrel is 1 in 10", I loaded 5 batches of 3 with IMR4064 in Lapua cases with Fed Match primers with the bullets .010" off the lands. The best loads were 42g to 44gr.I only had 15 bullets to test. Will have to get some more and try some slower speed also.
Anyone else hade good results will this bullet..???

Does your rifle have a short throat? I haven't played with the 125gr yet, but I have loaded some 110gr Vmax, and they're about 0.120 " off the lands in my Sako. Doesn't seem to matter though, as they'll shoot 3 holes touching, but I'm only getting 3000fps out of my 20" barrel. Should be good enough for coyotes though.

The throat is short compared to a Rem but ever at -.010 it's barely holding the bullet I don't think I could seat the 125gr into lands. My savage seems to like most bullets at -.010 anyways:cool:
