Well, it's been a 4 week project now. She's a 12FVSS in 22-250 in her new home, a Boyd's Varmint Thumbhole pepper laminate. She's pillar mounted and glass bedded. I used lamp rods epoxied with Scotch 2216 because it flows well and bonds very well to wood. Glass bedded with Acragel. She shot Win. Supremes like nobody's business, well see what she does now with the bedding job.

What she looked like before:

Thanks guys, she was a tack driver in the tupperware stock. I imagine she'll be at least that good or better now, I hope so anyways.

gitrdun it looks like you gotrdun! and a nice looking rig it is:) I am not sure that I would have messed with a tack driver, but here is hoping that she shoots as good as she looks! When the Chinook winds stop blowing, we'll expect some digital photos of your groups as proof

Covey: I kept the tupperware stock, it has two homes if need be. Yeah, I was planning on shooting it today and trying some new .338 loads. I could really get some good mileage if shooting to the north east.

Daniellybert: Are you shooting birds or airplanes? :D My bi-pod is the same height as yours, I call mine mostly useless. Rick doesn't like Boyd's anymore.

Daniel, it's a cool rig. I was refering to the bipod though. I have the same lenght as yours. What I'm saying is that it's pretty useless for shooting prone, unless like yourself in the picture, you're shooting uphill. But shooting flat, it can't be done. Then if you fully extend it, it's too short for shooting in the sitting position. I've come to the conclusion that mine (which greatly resemble yours) is pretty f'n useless unless your built unusually unusual. :)

Ok, here are the range results. This is shooting factory Winchester 50gr. Ballistic Silvertips. First pictures shows shots high and right, scope had been off, etc. Shot 7/16" group at first. I decided to adjust the scope and wait a bit for the wind to calm down. Second picture is next group. The squares are 1/2" :)

Hey Danellybert! I prefer that length of bipod. I find that the one size shorter is really difficult to get above prairie grass. Nice looking rig too!

Yeah, but you're oddly shaped anyways :D Nuthin' shoots like the tutty tutty,
in fact it's so good, I'm going grizzly bear huntin'.

Would it surprise you to know that I actually am oddly shaped :( and it is with the bipod that you called useless that often is a great assitance in allowing me to hunt at all :) I suppose that when my condition gets worse you will probably loose the brakes on my chair eh!

Actually gitrdun, I am a little chunky (fat) and the bipod works fine:D
