12g 870 Wingmaster

Hey Guys,

I just picked up a used 12g 870 Wingmaster 26" barrel 2 3/4" today.
The action is nice and smooth and there are only minor scratches and wear on the reciever and barrel. There is some spots on the butt stock where the varnash was taken off by the removal of a limbsaver but the stock is in good condition. I was able to pick it up for $180. I am not sure how old it is but it seems really solid.


Is there any way to tell how old it is? Did I pick it up for a good price? Are there 18 1/2" barrels available to use it for defence purposes?

Sounds like a good deal to me. Is it fixed or Remchoke. If you remchoke you got an amazing deal.

I am not too well versed on shotguns but I don't think that there is any Rem-Choke on the barrel.

How can I find out how old it is?

The price was fine to good. Call remington, they will tell you its age from the serial number.
