I have two 12 guage bolt guns that seem to both have the same issues. When loading if I understand correctly I am able to load one in the chamber and two in the box mag. The problem occurs when ejecting the first round and loading the second. In both guns the round seems rise too high and gets jammed on the edge of the action opening. If I load only one round in the mag and one in the chamber it works fine. Am I just an idiot and doing something wrong?

1 is a mossy 395ka 12 guage 2 3/4"
other is a Marlin original goose gun 12 guage 3"

any help would be appreciated.

About the only thing I can think of is that the rim of the 1st round (top shell) is getting behind the rim of the lower shell causing the initial shell (top shell) to hang up on the rim of the bottom shell thus forcing the nose up too high. FWIW --- John303,

This will happen with 2 3/4" low brass shells on this design, the top shell gets hung up in the lower shells plastic. The only solutions are to use high brass hulls with the box mag, switch to 3" shells or only load one shell in the mag.
