I'm new to reloading
Not looking for cost savings or anything like that, just want to try and reload

I bought a cheap Lee load all in 12g. picked up some hulls from the range. They are Green Remington plastic base game load.

I have some red dot powder, WAA12 wads and 209 primers and 71/2 shot.

I'm looking to load the following:

155 bushing for 18 grains of powder (or less I'm told that the lee bushings throw light)
1 1/18 bushing for shot

Is this ok?

Thanks

Shotgun reloading is a little more finicky than rifle or handgun.

Buy a good book, educate yourself and follow prescribed loads until you are comfortable enough with your knowledge to develop some of your own loads

I did a quick check of the 5th edition Lyman shotshell manual and the 2016 Alliant reloaders guide and couldn't find a load to match your components.

Definitely, the best option would be to pick up a reloading manual, and any other printed reloading data that you can find.

It's a great hobby.

I would say "go for it", except I am not familiar with those hulls. Some hulls have base wads that can come out and stick in the barrel. very bad on the next shot.

Can you get the AA wads to play with?

3 issues here, 1. What hulls are they exactly? Assume from your decription they are gun club or Field and Clay, 2. What 209 primers are you using?, 3. you should weigh your charges, 18gr in the assumed combination is pushing max pressure already.

That should be a safe load. It is listed on the data sheet that comes with the Load All II as being 17.5gr for the .155 bushing. Load a few and try them out. WAA12 are best used in compression formed shells vice straight walled shells. If you go to paper based wads you can use the .163 bushing for 18.4gr of Red Dot. Lee loads are very safe.
