12g to. 410 insert

I use savage 410ers they work great for skeet. The only issue would be if they weren't lined up with the extractors. If not lined up when the action is closed it may scar the face of the receiver

I have experince with the Savage 410ga liners in a single trigger 12ga double. I found the shot pattern was too big and open, and the 410ga recoil was not strong enough to work the selector to switch over to the next barrel for the second shot, so I had to kind'a give the butt plate a slap to make the selector work.

So, try a full length 410 linner that goes all the way to the muzzle for the best patterns, and unless you have a gun with 2 triggers, you might need the selector lightened up so the recoil will switch it over to the next barrel.

Any options for pump guns?

A long time ago a gentleman named Claude Purbaugh converted full size 1100's and possibly some 870's to shoot the 28 and 410 events in skeet. From what I read they weren't cheap and didn't function all that well. Unless you are trying to shoot competitive skeet the best thing is to get a 410 gun. Which isn't a bad idea when you think about it.:D

I was plaining on shooting gophers with the .410
I have my grandfathers 12g and I don't like the kick of the 12g so I was thinking of going with the insert so I could still use his gun.
