Hey all, I have about 1000 challenger 12ga hulls and I'd love to reload them. Problem is, I can't find any data as to what wad to use or anything like that. Any help would be appreciated! thanks!
My shotshell manual has diagrams of cross sections of hulls with measurements. I'd find a manual with similar diagrams (I think mine is Lyman but I don't have it handy and haven't used it in a while) and cut a hull apart, measure it, and see how it compares. You'll want a caliper to take the measurements. Something every reloader should have anyway.
My best guess is they look to be a 2 part hull, you can reload them off cheddite hulls, but not too much as the basewad could seperate and blow up in the gun. One piece hulls are where its at. Those kinda hulls id load once and toss at most.
I've been researching the same thing....what I've read thus far, as others have mentioned, they're a cheddite hull, reload once and toss.
I'm on the fence about reloading what I have here,...there's better, and safer options
