12Ga Slugs from solder wire

Can 12ga shotgun slugs be cast out of solder wire ?
I have alot of it and know where to get more cheep.
The shot gun its being shot out of has no choke.

You risk leading the bore if you don't reduce the tin content. I'd trade it, as solder is worth more.

If your slug load uses a standard cup wad...have at her.

Also as Barfly mentioned, you could probably double your amount of lead if you sold the solder and bought scrap lead

I would be using a standard shot cup. The shotgun barrel has been cut down so there is no choke. Selling the solder and buying lead might be the way to go. Thanks for the info guys.

I'm too far from Oshawa to make it worthwhile, but I'd happily swap 2x straight weight in ingots for solder...
