130grn lead for .357 mag

ive got 500 130grn lead bullets,and i plan to use bullseye powder,cant find any loading data in any of my books for a start load for .357 mag,anyone help,my eyes a blurry from searching the web!!thankx!!mac1911.

treat it like a 125 lead grain bullet and start with a reduced load from what is published and you should be good to go. Work up the powder from there if you are not happy with the performance.

You can get an idea where you will end up by looking at 125grn data and 148 grn data. You will be in the middle somewhere.

you might want to mike that bullet- the 130 typically was for the 38super which runs 355-356- in other words, a medium 9- somewhere between a 115-124 and the 147 grain "heavies"- i have listings for 357 in 125, and 140, then 148 and 158

An undersize, light lead bullet in .357 may cause serious leading. A reduced load may help, but ignition may be inconsistent in large .357 case, .38 spcl case may be better.
