I stopped by the Ottawa LeBaron tonight to pickup 7.62x39 milsurps but the girl said they were out of milsurp but a shipment was coming in September at a special price.

The details are posted on their website at

LeBaron - Russian MFG 1320 rounds for $192.94 :runaway:

How are Russian MFG rounds compared to what is currently being sold at Marstar?
Marstar - Sellier & Bellot 1200 rounds for $249 http://www.marstar.ca/ammo-etc/am-surplus-762x39.shtm
Marstar - Mesko 1400 rounds for $279 http://www.marstar.ca/ammo-etc/am-surplus-762x39B.shtm

LeBaron's also have Tula laminate stock SKS's in as well. I dropped by today intending to looking around. I ended up leaving with a 1951 production year, awesome condition. They're going at 182.45 plus taxes. Great price for a local place. Salesperson said they got in 2 dozen yesterday. They have 10 left. This was the Dundas store in Mississauga.

Here's the ht tp://www.lebaron.ca/pdffiles/web_spec/sks2_762x39_web.pdf

Can`t wait to pop off some rounds at the range this weekend.

the corrosive notwithstanding, adding up the marstar deals (1400 rnds +a military chinese sks=$355. ) Lebaron deal (1320 rnds + russian lam sks = $386. ) No matter what, the deals ae coming hot and heavy , don't know whats going on but I like it !

There does seem to be a steady decline in SKS prices, even the Russians. Over the last year and a bit, moved from $250... to $225... to $200... to $175... Now several showing up on the EE at $150ish. Not to mention the package deals for the Norincos like Marstar's.

Cheap for a good rifle. Maybe just oversupplied/overbought?

We seem to forget the SKS's worldwide distribution is nothing short of prolific - just downright penetration of the arms market.

Other than that, I am not complaining of dwindling prices.

yep, sks prices are lower than they were 25 years ago. how many things (other than computers) is that true of?
