I shot mine a week Saturday past.

I left the truck with plenty of time to get to my ground blind (and still have time for a mini snooze) but the deer were awake long before me. Strange because I have done re-con after re-con on the field and the white tail still feeds me humble pie

I never did get to where I was going and had to sit in the field while he walked in front of me with his nose up her butt.

There was a bigger buck that this one on the field but he wouldn't stick around for 15 minutes (legal light). Next year.......

One double lung at 150 yds with 165 Interbond and one liver shot at 165 ish yards on a full run. Both hole were within 4 inches of each other.

The one day I don't bring my camera...... Had to take some night shots when I got home.

BIG Redd,

BLR
.308
165 Interbonds
41 grains of 3031 (which I've since learned to be a liitle on the hot side)

I'm really impressed with the job these bullets are doing. The test wil be when I can test it on a Moose. Didn't get mine this yeara nd my tag is out of time.

Just another reason to get ready for next season

Nice buck,,the brow tines are forked,,I havent seen that before!

I've only seen it in Magazines.

Figuring the gross out is easy.

Its the deductions that have me confused.

Do forked brows make it a 5 x 5 or a 4 x 4 with kickers?

I'm assuming that because it doesn't originate from the main beams that they are kickers.

Anyone help me out on the deductions end?

If the tynes don't share a common base, but one clearly rises from another, then its an abnormal point, and is a deduction from the typical score.

This stuff about gross scores has me confused. It seems that they list only the gross typical frame when talking about it, however, it would seem to me that non-typical points are also part of the "gross" measurement, and would be included.

Gross scores are unofficial anyway, so I guess you could call it whatever you want.
