Oh and IPSC safety is not the same as real world safety. People do put guns on pockets, they conceal guns in fanny packs, holsters have buttons, "near" is not "on" and its also not a reason to waste someone'a $500 on a Blackbadge weekend.
To me, IPSC is just a shooting game (now anyway, not sure what it was during the inception, wasn't born yet!), just like golf, it comes with a number of rules for the game. I do hope people didn't join IPSC (especially in Canada!) to train for any real world scenario! Else they'll be waiting for the buzzer forever before the first draw, shoot only 2 rounds per target, and dump half-full magazines on the ground.
I shoot the game to compete and of course to have fun. I'm just a D class shooter, probably when I get to an A I'd join the drama queen club and start bickering about classification.
