14" barrel for Mossberg 500A

I have been wondering if it's possible to get a 14" barrel for my M500A. I would like the barrel to be basically flush with the magazine. It is a 5+1 shotgun, just the standard hunting type. I have an 18.5", but was wanting something shorter. Anyone know where one might be able to get one, or have one made? I'd like to pay under $250 for it as well.
 
I don't think there are any aftermarket 14" barrels for the 500
There are a few factory barrels for the 590 but they they don't fit the 500.

I would totally buy one too, and sell my HP9.

Take Note DLASK and make a run of them, with rifle sights like the Remington police, and modified chokes.
 
It would be a great find at under $250. You won't find them at any store unless someone brings one in to sell/consign it. You'll find that a factory 14" mossberg gun will go for at least $1000 on the EE with a 18" barrel usually under $500 depending on the model and condition. I have not seen a 14" mossberg on the EE for over a year and I have never seen a 14" barrel for sale. Expect it to be over twice what you are willing to pay. You would be better off with a Norinco shorty or a buy a 870 and get a Dlask 14 or 12.5" barrel for $250
 
I have my stock maverick 88 21"er that got wrecked, now I have nothing. I see lots of regular barrels but finding anything shorter than 18" is pretty near impossible.
 
If I sent a regular barrel to a gunsmith to be chopped down and restamped, would this be legal because It was done by a gunsmith?

Pretty sure they have to be factory made,not altered after by a gunsmith.

There was a thread on here ,kind of, about this already,and ,IIRC,one of the posters had Emailed Dlask about this and the reply was not any time soon.

And yet they can turn-out lefthanded Rem870 12.5" Barrels for that small market, WTH???
 
Yeah they have to be factory made. I spent $300 each on a 14" and a 12 1/2 barrels for my 870. I have half a dozen 30" full choke barrels that I would have cut down in an instant if it were legal, but I've been taking them down to 18" as I need them.
 
does any one know if an 870 with a top folding stock and a 12-14 barrel would be oal 26" . I had a marine mag 18.5 barrel with a top folder and it was easily legal.
 
I beleive youre right, its hard to find dimensions but my old configuration was probably similar to a mossy pistol grip 28.75 inches. Now if they just made a 16 inch barrel we might be in business.

All about supply and demand. I've read too many treads of people wanting a 14" barreled Mossberg, and have seen none around. It might be expensive to you, and even to me, but if someone wants one this bad, he/she might just have to pony up the money for it.
