14 inch Barrel non-restricted?

I know this has been disscused before, I did a search but cant find the info that I am after...Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Where can I find the wording to the effect that a shotgun manufactured with a 14 inch barrel with a minimum OAL of 26 inches is classifed as non restricted?
Silly me I just read the sticky at the top of the page..would the same apply to any make or just an 870?

Any SG newly manufactured or a newly manufactured barrel in any length so long as it maintains the 660mm rule.

Definition of a Restricted Firearm
According to the Criminal Code, a restricted firearm is:

- a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm;
- a semi-automatic, centre-fire rifle or shotgun with a barrel length less than 470 mm (18.5 inches) that is not prohibited;
- a rifle or shotgun that can fire when its overall length is reduced by folding, telescoping or some other means to less than 660 mm (26 inches);
- any firearm prescribed as restricted (including some long guns).

The reason I was wondering is because a Beretta Storm is restricted by barrel length 16 inches but the OAL is 34 inches so by that wording it should be non-restricted ..no?

And, if you reduce your pump action shottie to under 26" by installing a "factory accessory", like a Dlask 6.5" barrel, stubby pistol grip, etc., then it becomes restricted NOT PROHIBITED, you'll have to call the CFC to re-register it as restricted and sometimes they make you take it to a verifier.

If you CUT anything to make it shorter then 26" OAL, it's illegal/prohib. I hope that stirs the mud for ya.
