14" Mid Length AR

CMMG makes one.

But, no stock at AEI as:
-unless the DOS changes it's policies, we can't get export licenses for 14.5" barrels.
-and, we're not taking any CMMG orders until we get the 16"ers we've had on order for too long, (not CMMGs fault).

You can get them from Dlask, as they are a canadian manufacturer. They have uppers posted in the EE.

Well,no,thats a good reason, its just that if your going for a mid-lenght gas system the 16" has a more balanced look to it,as well as other benefits,
IMHO,14.5 looks good on a carbine lenght system.

Right now I can't decide between a 14" mid length or a 11" carbine. I want to shoot tac rifle at TMSA next year with it but most likely nothing over 100m with it. I know that I want it flat topped and railed back up irons with a Acog type sight. So I am thinking that short and fast handling will suit my needs(wants) better.

Why would you want a 14.5 mid-lenght when theres 16" mid-lenghts???

As far as i know the 16" ers are not the right length for a bayonet...I know the 14.5" is. Not only that but i find the 14.5" much more aesthetically pleasing. Obviously its in the eye of the beholder. bayoing paper zombie targets is also good practice.

I am confused. Do you want a midlength gas system with a 14.5 barrel? I'm not sure if that would function as well as car length in the shorter barrels. You can always adapt midlength handguards and a use low profile gas block on a car system to make it look like a midlength.
