A Mossberg 500 tactical, with 18.5" bbl and pistol grip weighs 5.75 lbs.

Add the stock, then subtract the PG and 4.5" of barrel, and I would guess the 14" model comes in around 5 lbs.

It's even lighter if you go with the raptor grip...

6.75 lbs is what the off the shelf 14" Mossberg 590's weigh.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 14" 590 is heavier than the 18.5" 500.

The barrel is much heavier walled.
