14 primers for 130 bucks...

They can ask what they want who cares? The focus could be - Now, who would pay such a dum fee 🙄...

I have lots of primers 7.00 a 100, powder generally 70.00 per lb. That's what I buy it for ... Where the heck do you all shop lol?

I will simply shoot less and buy factory ammo when I can. No way Im paying these prices for primers. I have a decent supply and when they're gone they're gone and done with the reloading hobby I will be. Supply and demand, well the sellers will soon see a lot less demand I am sure of it.

I have walked away from all this craziness.
Haven't been to the range all summer.
Not playing this game. picked up some new hobbies without the High price and Politics that go with it.

I will ...or wont...come back to it one day.

I bought an xTool D7 scan tool and a Milwaukee 1/2 Impact wrench I put my winter tires on like Nascar

Its pathetic what some (including dealers here on CGN)are charging for reloading components.

Varget for 95/Lbs up to 130/lb...went into the local Canadian Tire yesterday and they just put out a new shipment of Varget @ 74.95/lb????

Kinda makes one go WTF!!!

I have to ask, where are you that Canadian Tire has Varget??

Here in NS that sounds like some kind of alternate reality.

I did see some at the Bass Pro in Dartmouth a few days ago for $84.99.
I don't use it, so I didn't ask how much they'd received. No primers, unfortunately.

I finally took delivery of the 5000 Federal 209A shotgun primers that I bought in May. I paid $350, and had someone pick them up and hold them ,because they were 400km away, and the store wouldn't ship them. I have no idea what the next 5000 will cost, or when I will get them, but with the 7000, I already had, I should be good for two years, for 28 and 410 skeet loads.

Guy at a show recently selling a bunch of powders for $100 per lb. Which is understandable for some powders but I asked "Does that go for the old can of BL-C(2) as well?"

He said "Yep, you can't get powder anywhere". Which I knew was not true for BL-C(2) so I proceeded to show him BL-C(2) in stock online at a well known retailer for $56.

Man would not budge.

Eastern Ontario gun shows? If so then I know the group.

50 year old 22LR, nothing special, no collector value, asking $10/50 when new stuff is $8/50 down the road at CT.

The last gun show I went to I paid the $8 to go look at the old guns, then spent my money on Kamik boots and 777 at a big box retailer on the way home.

I've stocked up on BL-C(2) whenever I found it. I only used it for bulk milsurp ammo in the past because of the cheapness/ease of measurement. Since it's basically identical in burn rate to Win748, it does well in my 24 inch 223 barrel as well.

I stoked up my time machine last night again and found two bricks of CCI primers, one LR and one magnum LR for $25 each. I kid you not. I have a good shooter buddy stop by last week. He bought a HK 630 .223 from me. I gave him a pound of RL19 and he gave me a part box of .25acp Dominion ammo.

The day I have to start hosing fellow gunners, whoever they might be, will be the day I drop off the earth. I hope some of the hosers are really proud of themselves.

Roger that.
In the last few days I have seen some long standing members of which I never would have guessed asking 300$ a brick. Madness.
