I'm a little confused. Did he go through all that and then not bother to rank the presses 1-14 based on performance?
Generally a heavy press will mean thicker metal which means less flex or distortion under pressure so more consistency from round to round. Weight is not a guarantee of reloading accuracy but a heavy press with a well aligned ram should give more accurate results than a light press with a well aligned ram. Like I said not a guarantee but all other factors being equal heavier should be better. So many issues with this. So instance, not enough rounds per test.
Also how in the world does weight have to do with how good the press is. Just because its heavy doesnt mean its accurate.
as i said. being heavy doesnt mean anything. my truck is heavy but it makes terrible ammo. But thank you for proving my point. weight should never be a factor in this. its about accuracy and consistancy. weight would be a byproduct. I was pointing out more of that this test was flawed
Same.I've shot a lot of sub 1" groups with a Lee hand press lol

I wouldn’t want to process Lake City or IVI 7.62 cases with one. I’d like to see a video of someone doing it with an RCBS Summit as I think it would be as painful.

I wonder if there is a review some where of the best progressive reloading presses. I bet Dillion would rank high in that race.
