i was just wondering if remington exports a 14" barrel for the 870 express magnum i heard they did't or should i just buy a rem 870 norinco?

I dont think the express will fit any police parts or tactical parts for a common 14 inch 870.

Remington LE will not export 14" barrels for civy sales outside of US, and inside the US shotgun barrels under 18" are no go without a tax stamp.

With no new units coming in, the price of the "actual" rem manufactured 14" barrels are at a premium.

The norc is a steal of a deal, worth the price for the steel trigger guard and barrel. Dlask 12.5" and 14" barrels at $299 are another option.

get the norc 14 inch shottie... add parts later if you want.. its the bast bang for the buck..

The dlask 12.5 barrel will be flush with the standard 870/hp9-1 mag cap. There are a number of people on the board here who have them, seem to be a pretty good buy. There is the option to have the barrel threaded for REM chokes as well.

Apart from looking super cool/mean, they are handy-dandy carrying shotguns for the woods. I Loved my hp9-1 (sold it) and would not hesitate to get another. As long as you stay over 26" overall length, all these manufactured options are non restricted. They make great grouse guns. :D

i know pump 870's don't have to be built to really tight tolerances but how does the norinco compare to the remington?

Not bad at all. The receivers can be a little tight sometimes, something that can be smoothed out over time or with a little work. The HP9-1 will also accept REM 870 accessories.

I have a couple of 870's, some new, some going back a few years. My Norc 14" (just got it within the last couple of weeks) pumps way smoother than any of them did when new. Seems to have a nicer fit and finish just about everywhere I can see. Haven't shot it enough to form much more of an opinion than that, but it seems very much worth the money.
