Well here are this years results from 1 Calf Moose and 2 Does using 140gr Nosler Accubonds in my 7mmSAUM in front of 60 gr of H4350 out of a 24 inch Barrel, Im guessing my velocity would be 3100fps or a tad more.



So from left to right,


Left - Large doe 180lbs +++ 60 yard shot slight quartering to entered behind left shoulder rib broken tore side of heart and found in far side just under the hide weight retained 98 grains

Middle - smaller doe texas heart shot, disintigrated the pelvic bone travelled up and found in the liver shot was about 50 yards retained weight 81 grains

Right - Calf Bull Moose 60 yards blew through a few vertabrae on a finishing shot, weight retained 64 grains

I like the accubond for accuracy and have loaded it in many higher velocity guns. I myself am not really impressed with what you found for wieght retention. The good news is you recovered the bullet so I guess that speaks for its self.

I shot a bear with a 300 wsm and a 180 accubond it exited I never recovered the bullet.

I would like to see at least 70% wieght retention, but that thing broke and pealed up like a Hornady Sp.
