Has anyone shot the 145 grain, Chinese ammo from Lever through their M305 shorty? It is copper washed steel, Berdan primed.

I need to feed a new shorty and the kid who wants tro shoot doesn't have much $.

Chinese 7.62x51 FMJ (520 rounds)

Non Corrosive
Copper washed steel case
Berdan Primed
Comes in one sealed metal tin.

I haven't sighted in my shorty yet, but I got the ammo from Canada Ammo that you're asking about and shot it in an older Marstar import on Saturday.

My first group shooting prone with irons at a Figure 11 target at 200 yards measured 4 inches! The rest of my groups measured anywhere in the 7-9" range, the better ones with fliers that opened them up, but that was me trying my best in thirty degree weather. The rifle is still original untweaked with parts contacting each other in all of the wrong areas, but I was giving it time to cool and am pretty sure that I was to blame for the larger groups.

In short, I'm happy with the Norinco copper washed ammo.

Yup, I have a 2011 Norinco M305 and consistently get 6-8 inch groups at 200yds with an unmagnified red dot. I occasionally have FTE's though, just because the mount I have sometimes causes the casing to get stuck between the breech and the op rod. Usually, it occurs once every 40 rounds or so. And it only happens in the summer... there's probably a connection there...
