I used a knoxx on a 12.5" to make it 26", Butler creek on a 15" to make 26".

thats the one, folding would make it restricted i believe, overall length under 26" but telescoping stock would be juuuuust right
The Knoxx NRS telescoping stock is a perfect addition to the 15" mag fed Grizzly. It's about 31" in the shortest position. I got mine before they sold out.

I took the grizzly out to the range today and shot a box of game loads. It cycled perfectly and the recoil is ok with the knoxx stock. A really fun gun to shoot. Sorry, but it's not for sale.

I'm thinking of buying an 18" grizzly mag shotgun, but I cant sem to get any feed back from too many owners. Anybody who has an opinon on them please share it. either here in this thread or in another thread/poll I started in the Hunting and Sporting Shotgun forum:

First try am smooth out any rough edges on the feed lips, might be the only problem.

I still have a 15" mag feed brand new in the sealed plastic... with spare mag. might be willing to sell for the right price
I wouldnt mind a 15" version, but I would rather have the power of the 18" it's for wild life defense when I'm out in the back country.
To be honest I wish it came in 20" for the most optimal power while maintaining a confortable length. After all, its not like a regular tactical shotgun where evey inch of barrel is met by another inch of magazine, that adds a lot of froward weight, which is always bad, then couple that with the few shells in the mag, and that just adds a even more bad weight.
Thw Grizzly mag however just adds barrel weight the longer it gets, and keeps the magazine and shell weight in the middle of the gun where its easily manageable. and that little extra weight is going to pay off big in power.

I don't think you'd see an ounce of difference power wise from a 15 to an 18 inch. Certainly not from an 18 to a 20. It makes a difference with how the gun swings and such, but i'm pretty sure shotshells burn their powder within the first 12 - 14 inches.
Anyone know if i'm wrong there? That's what i've always been told.
American Rifleman (?) did a chrony test with a 36 inch shotgun barrel, cutting it back in 1 inch increments and found as you suggest, little increase in velocity beyond 12 inches.
Of course I've always wondered how they did it legally,as I believe anything less than 18 inches is NFA in the USA.

That's state by state i believe - probably some states allow shorter barrels and that's probably where they did it.
