Hi, I have a BLR in .308. Last year I shot 150 gr Winchester with it and got good groups, I also tried 168 gr with mixed results. I thought I had bought 150 gr at the store but when I got to the range I realized I had 180 gr. I figured what the heck and I shot a few. I got really good groups with them, they shot about 4" higher than the 150's. So my question is, Whats the difference going to be, other than the weight difference, when hunting?

Thanks.

Don't matter too much, use the ammo you are confident in and shoots well.

Nothing here that will know the difference of 30 grains.

Just some trajectory changes you may notice with range practice.

I do not think it would make a big difference, other than if you are shooting at a moving target. If that is required, its nice to get used to one speed of bullet.
