in the ADI data, it says AR2209 which is H4350-- min 46grains and max 49 grains.,.................

To me this is not a full case of powder and might be quite mild??

can you guys give me some H4350 data for 150s? an maybe 130s while we are at it?


im not seeing any pressure signs on the primers at "max"..... an alot of case space.

im using a 150gr Hot cor at the moment
and rem 130gr SP , both with AR2209........ 82mm and 82.5mm coals.
 
Nosler Serria Speer hornady lyman all have data for said components check them all then do a average of what they list and start working up a load for your rifle
it's called load development
Everyone's results will be different
 
Data ranges from 46 grains to 51 grains depending on who it comes from.

I’d start at 47 grains and work up loads in 1/2 grain steps, while monitoring accuracy, velocity and case head expansion.

FWIW: H4350 (AR2209) isn’t the best choice of powder for this combination…. I’d try some H4831sc (AR2213sc) instead.
 
im loading 48gr right now an its accurate!!
but im unsure now, i will conitnue to use 4350 , but looks like 2213sc might be better for heavier, but using fair bit more powder to do so!

well i am loading from ADI data- in a form of Field testing Loads developed....
i feel its quite watered down.
couldnt find any specific numbers online except google said 51-56 is more inline...... hence the posts Struffy.

typically, someone will say, use a Reloader powder instead.... or that N something will work better and im doing it wrong... LOL

someones, been there an done it.


48 is a long way from 55..........
 
Trying to get a fuller case usually equates to improved accuracy, as you remove/ reduce the powder position variable in the equation.

Mid to high 50’s of 2213sc (H4831) is a known sweet spot for 150’s…..

I’d steer clear of loads of 2209 (H4350) in the mid 50’s with this combination, sounds like a hot rodding endeavour.

My pet load for my Ruger #1 .270 (26”) with 150’s utilizes Ramshot Magnum and gets me in 2950-2975 fps range.

A case stuffed full of H1000 will work as well. Can’t really get enough in without heavy compression to go over pressure. Most list around 59.0 grains and over 100% case capacity as max. But with what you’re using and if you have good accuracy nothing you shoot will know the difference. Before I knew the actual velocity from my first Chronograph, I used a IMR 4350 equivalent and 150gr Hornady Interlock with excellent results. Velocity wasn’t even 2700 fps but worked for Whitetail and Moose. 🤷🏻

Yeah I agree with ya RE accuracy trumps velocity!
I don't wanna get the chrono out just yet 😂. Surely it (150) will be quicker than the 7-08 154gr load .....

I won't go h1000 or 4831 at this stage.
