If Canada Post does their part, in about a week I'll be the new owner of a 1908 7x57 Brazilian Mauser. I have a good supply of Sierra 150gr HPBT Match bullets . . . I was hoping someone could suggest some suitable powders to try with this bullet weight? Target shooting only, 200 yards max.

Yup - the 4350's, W760/H414, or Re17. As stated, in a M1908, the 150 will likely be "staring into space". That's why so many use a 175 RN over 4831 or Re22.

Any powder from 4064 to 4831 can be utilized with this combination.

I'm not sure whether this Mauser is high pressure or low pressure, so watch the load data, as some is at the higher pressure for modern actions.

If you are looking for Lots of speed rl19 is the ticket. If you just want a 200 yard deer load I run 150partitons at 2550fps with 49gr h4831 (ancient surplus powder ).

I have an 08, I find with light bullets like , the 120 pro hunter
H380 works very well, with my 139-150gr loads
IMR 4831 works nicely, 4350 isn't bad either
Slower burning powders work well in these rifles
