Anyone know where I can get some of this in Canada? An internet search turns up only US sites. Anyone know anything about this ammo, is it SKS able or just a bolt gun hot load? Seems to me the perfect 7.62x39 deer round in closed country shots.

I had to load my own, and while they work ok you have to re-sight your rifle again if you want to fire surplus loads.

I have seen a few different brands of soft point, but almost all close in price to .308 for a box of 20. The only other option i have seen is Tulaammo has a 124 grain soft point, though i haven't really seen any tests to show its expansion vs standard hunting bullets.

Ack that, looks like my next step is reloading. Unfortunating, the data I have collected so far does not recommend a 150 Grain for an SKS as it will not feed properly unless pushed deeply into the cartridge thus limiting powder charge.

Who told you that crap?I load Sierra .311/150gr with 21gr/IMR 4198 and they feed just fine as well as the most accurate.Hornady also published data for the 150gr bullet.RE#7 and Win 748 are great powders too........Harold

Winchester.............I have data for 200gr subsonic loads as well but these will not likely cycle other than manually through a semi.If you want the Hornady 150gr data let me know..........Harold
