155 grain a-max using 175grain specs?

So i bought a lymans 49th edition guide, in it im very interested in making the hornady 175g with the preffered powder. I bought the hornady a-max 155g, unknowingly. Just wondering if i could substitute the 175g shell with the 155g one. Thoughts, suggestions? i have looked for a 155g build but couldnt find one with the powder i chose.
 
I've looked at a few, but couldnt find one that combined the hornady 155g a-max with the hodgdon h-414 powder i chose, continuing to look

different bullets so start low and work up watching for pressure signs, 48-51 grains isn't going to require to many trials to find something that works, this is assuming that you are in fact loading for a 308 and not some other 30 cal rifle.

yes i was thinking about starting in the lower 44-49 area, i only purchased 50 of these ones so im not too worried about refining the grains, gonna stick as close to the guide as possible any more input is appreciated
 
whats you maximum magazine length?
How long is your throat and when/where does the bullet contact the rifling?
