158 grain 38/357 FMJ

Speed costs, there are no free rides!

Any copper jacketed bullet is gonna cost these days, you can try plated but you will find you can't drive them as fast before the plating tears off.

Cast is almost all I shoot, but don't expect ultra speeds with them.
 
Ya no cast or castig for this guy. I buy cast for 38 special but i dont want to have to worry about gas checks or leading using them with hot 357. I thaught about plated but they reccomend not to go about 1200fps. I currently load around 1400 fps.

i use wolf hard cast 158 gr SWC or RNFP in my 357 with 15 gr of win 296 powder.

according to the loading data it's pushing 1400 FPS. i have very little to no leading with this combo. that being said i only shoot about 50 per visit, the rest 38 HBWC's.

I go 1450fps from a 6" bbl revolver and 1850 in a 18" rifle. No gas checks with lead alloy hardcast to 18BHN
There's slight leading in the revolver and no leading whatsoever in the rifle.
