16" Barrel For Savage Mk.II?

As the title says, does anybody know of a supplier for short barrels to fit the Savage Mk.II action?

But seriously, there is not a ton of aftermarket for these guns(unfortunatly). I'd think the best bet would be to have your smith cut and crown the existing barrel.

Cutting it to less than 18" makes it prohibited, it must be manufactured at that length to be legal.

It may be necessary, but I would really like to find one commercially available. If I go custom it would probably be cheaper to simply buy a CZ with the 16" barrel on it already and I don't want to do that.

My goal is a light, synthetic stock, short barrel bush gun for rabbit and grouse hunting. The shorty .22 shown by CanAm would be perfect (assuming it shoots straight), but I may be very old before that ever comes to fruition.

I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere(rimfire central maybe) that you could use some 10/22 barrels or something like that with a little bit of alteration.Might be worth a look.
