16 Gauge Brass shotshells

I've got an old Half Oct bbl'd 16 ga Rem rolling block. It just seems right to have 10 or 12 brass shells for it...it rarely gets shot though.
Anyone here have a source or input...I'm listening.

Bilozir who are in your neck of the woods carries Magtech shells, a single box isn't too expensive. Loading is very easy with blackpowder and requires a nice long nail, a dowel, a knob for the end of the dowel and a set of punches for wads/cards. The shells never really wear out and can be cleaned up to serviceability (but not shinyness) by hand in the sink with some citric acid and water. A relatively simply setup and very rewarding on the range.

Bilozir makes most of the gun shows in S. Alberta and does mail order. Usually easy to deal with.

BTW, the Magtech casings are supposed to be used with a Large PISTOL primer. Otherwise they are fine.

Their 24-bore makes into very nice .577 Snider and (with luck( can be converted into Martini feed.

Bilozir sells them all at same price: $45 a box of 25 and generally stocks 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, and 32-gauge. Believe he has 10 also but not sure.

Last time I checked he didn't carry 10 gauge.
Hence I had to use track of the wolf and purchase Parker Brothers brass hulls. Large pistol primers as well.

let me check my 410s because Alliant 410 powder seems to need large magnum rifle primers in brass cases

Thanks for you and smellie for the reminder about this. I have some mag tech brass on the way for my Snider’s and I’ll make a note of that.
