16 gauge springfield sxs

Does it have 26" barrels if so worth a little more to us bush grouse hunters here in Ontario, just came back from hunting grouse in Dorion Ontario with my friend John and he carried a very nice 20 gauge springfield that a friend restocked for him. One of the nicest feeling doubles I have tryed in a while!cheers Dale Z in T-Bay

springfield shotgun sxs

sprigfield shotguns were common in the 1920's right into the 60's. basically utilitarian shotguns, never anything fancy, but always useful guns, if its in gd working cond, and still tight when closed with good barrels, id say they have a value between 150-300$, they seldom bring a good price due to they are usually are full choked on each barrel, and steel shot cant be used in them, but to thjose who are hunting upland birds, and deer at close ranges with slugs and buckshot, they are well worth the money, this is what i see them go for in shops

Based on your description and pictures, $50.

X2 I might go $60. If you guys want a fair evaluation on a gun you have to give more info. E.G. PICTURES of everything... Especially of the water table and barrel flats. So the proof marks can be seen. When someone posts a vague "how much is it worth post like the OP.

"16 gauge springfield sxs
any rough guesses as to the value- good to very good condition."

Your going to get a lot of varied answers. None of them being accurate because of lack of information. JMHO :)
