So I finally got my 30" tube on my 300 Win Mag. It's a porky bugger at about 16 lbs empty. Ok, so it's not a powder puff, it does still give you a good wack. Compared to a hunting rifle it's quite nice to shoot! I was pretty happy zeroing it and not feeling the need for my sissy pad. Factory Federal 150 gr Speer rounds were printing pretty big at 100 yds. I had 12 reloads with 165 gr SGK's that printed good out of the Stevens before it was "retired". Fired two three rnd groups to get about a 200 yd zero with them then fired off the last six. I was greeted by something that resembles this :). Total group size just a wisker over an inch. The "mouth" had four touching at 0.60".

Time to break out the 208 A-Max's. If I remember right they tend to like touching the lands. Is this right?
