Both are pretty good scopes. What will be your application? Hunting, target shooting etc. Personally for a hunting scope I go lower magnification to get wider field of view for those fast shots, and lighter weight, but that is just me.

I have the Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5x16x42 on my 30-06 X-Bolt, very nice scope. Super clear glass, love being able to see the paper holes without using a spotting scope...

Are they even close to the same price. If so Bushnell Bushnell Bushnell. Clarity is about the same, better range of magnification on the Bushnell makes it better for hunting AND target shooting. I suspect the Bushnell would be a bit heavier though, but your gun should be pretty light so weight might not be a concern. But honestly for most hunting 200meters or less, either scope would be a fine choice.

Id go Bushnell, great glass and warranty on par with Vortex. Im not 100% sure on the QC issue as Vortex, Ive owned many Vortex and had zero issues. Vortex probably sells 4 to 1 optics in most scope catagories and just by sheer number will have more problems then say Nikon who sells very few in the whole scheme of it all.

Couldn't give a rat's azz about an expensive rifle, they all go boom and spending more money on one doesn't mean #### all except that you spent more money on one. I get it. You're a guy who likes expensive guns.

you're absolutely correct, a rifle is a rifle(within reason). Save your money and buy a better optic than the two you listed. Good optics can be re used from rifle to rifle.
