162 gr A max

I just bought a box of 7mm A max bullets. Anyone try them, if so post opinions please. I see that they are quite long and OAL adjust might get tight. What do you folks do for seating and OAL adjust.

Great bullet, if you put it side by side with another 7mm bullet you will see the bearing surface is near the same,and the BC is good on this bullet.

Tried them in my 7mm-08, Weatherby Varmint Master. Very accurate. 1 in 9.5 twist and consistent .75 MOA, athough the Sierra 150 gr work better in this particualr gun.

I use it in three 7mm LR target rifles and love them. Amazing ballistics and very accurate. For what they are, dirt cheap too.

I like shooting them from 2800 to 3150fps. 9 or 9.5twist work just fine.

I usually start by seating to fit the mag and adjust my powder to tune the barrel. Lee collet neck dies will help with making better ammo.

I have found this bullet to be easy to set up. Just make sure that the bullet fully engraves in the lands BEFORE the bearing surface leaves the case neck.
