165 gr Accubond, .308 Win sufficient for moose?

The 165 is in my opinion, the best bullet weight for the 308. Best compromise of bullet weight and trajectory.
Our guys mostly use ordinary factory rounds, and many moose have fallen to the 165. Myself, I've used the Hornady Interlock to take my moose on various occasions.
You'll have no problems with your choice, if you do your part, and put the bullet in the right place.

I can now say with certainty that the 165 gr Accubond is more than sufficient for moose. Just got back from Wainwright and took a 2 yr old bull. Not a trophy but I am not a trophy hunter. I learned along time ago that antlers make ####ty steaks. The moose went down with one round, he jumped and ran about 25 feet before toppling over, the freezer is now full for the winter. Thx for your comments.

Good stuff! Congrats on a fine animal and a full freezer...

(cooking a moose stew right now...:D )
