I'm getting into reloading for .40 and 10mm (own both, just never reloaded for them before) and find the choice of projectiles confusing. I want to load the .40 for plinking and paper punching, maybe making major power factor for IPSC, but the 10mm will be for wilderness carry in the USA when I go hunting. Is there one projectile weight you guys think I can get that I can load in both cartridges, for both purposes?

I reload both caliber too
I love zero's 180 JHP no problem for major factor in IPSC with 4.5grs of titegroup and for 10mm with 9.3grs of longshot under a 180grs JHP give me around 1250fps @1.26
I have some zero 200grs FP but haven't tried them already

I would go 200gr for wilderness carry in the 10mm.
For IPSC I have been loading 180 for major in the 40. I have heard of a number of guys going to the 165 in 40 as they feel less concerned regarding bullet set back causing a Kaboom.
It really comes down to the powder you choose.
