Just getting into the reloading for the 300 Win Mag. I have 168 TTSX and also 180 Accubonds. My powders are N160 and H4350 also have a pound of H4381. Any recommendations? Moose and Elk hunting. Rifle is 1976 original Remington 700 BDL.
Take a look into bullet makers loading data. The most accurate powder for Accubond 180 is H1000 according to Nosler. They also have H4350 66-70 grains. Best powder for 168 TTSX according to Barnes is Ramshot Magnum 78-86.6 grains. None of your powders is cited by Barnes, but IMR 4350 is. It has been my experience that data from these two manufacturers is very reliable.
Thanks for the data. I will have to see if I can use H4350 as a substitute for IMR 4350. I like H because of it temp stability.
