What .17 caliber case and bullets are you using for harvesting coyote fur? I am more interested in bullets since Berger has dropped the 25 and 30gr Match bullet with the small meplat. I have been shooting the Berger 30gr HPBT LTB bullet that they used to make but I am starting to run out. Anyone know if the Kindler 30gr Gold bullet is being imported into Canada by someone? Is there a bullet maker in Canada that makes heavier .17 cal bullets that I am not aware of?
My case is based on a .223 Win case with a 30degree shoulder and short neck. I am shooting the 30gr Berger bullets at 4150fps and the BC is said to be at least .230 but the Kindler Gold is advertised as .270 and the two bullets look nearly identical. I shutter at the thought of having to start shooting the Hornaday 25gr bullet compared to what I was shooting.
