17 hmr ammo?

If you buy a box there check it out before you leave the store, I handled 4 boxes of CCI V-Max from there that a friend bought that were giving his gun problems and found anywhere from 9 to 13 cracked necks in each box giving misfires and when ejected the lead stayed in the chamber. This happened to his kid and thinking that she just didn't #### it, she chambered another and fired again blowing out the back of the casing and damaging the mag plate, lucky no fingers or eyes were injured.

At first they didn't know what happened, they brought me the gun with a lead in the barrel, I cleared it fixed the plate inspected everything to be good and then took it out to the range to test and 20 shots later had a misfire and when ejected the lead was still in the gun, pretty much solved what happened to them right there, upon inspection of the ammo found split necks on the empties and several cracked necks on the loaded shells.

Do a little Google search on old .17hmr and how over time the necks can start to crack.

Just picked up a couple 200 boxes of cci a17 at cabelas in regina for 89 dollars a box. They have hornady 17 gr as well, but not many and nearly 25 dollars a box. Hopefully the a17 shoots well in the cz. Anyone else run this in their bolt actions?
 
Seen a half dozen 200 box sets on the shelf (prob more in the back) at Target Sports today. Don't shoot it so didn't get a price...

About 30% case ruptures in my Cooper. Zero with regular CCI load.

Yeah I just asked my friend, I miss understood him and thought he just got it last year late 2015 but I guess it was the year before, makes sense now, good to know he has some and the CCI is gone too bad prices are so high.
 
We have a pallet of 17 HMR ammo coming in about ten days(with luck). First we will have in 17 HMR all spring. 17 gr hornady looks like 2099.00 a box and a few CCI loads a few bucks cheaper. Will update CGN when we know details.

I payed around $70 last year for that a17. Groups in the 2+" area in my cz. Hornady and cci group inch or less. It is faster then the box says in my gun though.

Crappy Tire has had 60 boxes everytime I have checked and I checked just now, this store has 40 (50 rnd) boxes.
Somebody has found the stash...
$19.79 plus pst/gst, but one has to pay in order to play.
I think I have 600 rounds of Hornady 17HMR.
