I was just cleaning my Savage 93R17 after a range trip, and am using the Otis pull thru cleaning cable. I ran several patches thru, then the brush thru a dozen times, and then ran another patch thru. As soon as the patch went past the chambering, it became stuck. I tried to pull thru, but it is not budging. Tried pushing from the breech with a cleaning rod, and not budging. I can't push from the muzzle end, as the cable is hanging out the muzzle. The .17 is too small to get anything in to try and pull the patch back out thru the breech. Any ideas?

about the only thing I can think of is soak it down with three in one oil and put her I a vise and pull her threw D

Compressed air will not work.
A piece of 3/32 brazing rod works well as a cleaning rod for .17 cals - scrape and then use fine sandpaper to clean the flux coating off perfectly.
In this case, heat the end of a brazing rod with a torch and put it in to burn the patch a bit - reheat and repeat.
File the end of the brass rod to a wedge point to spin by hand to take the burnt patch material out - then reheat and repeat.
Repeat and be patient.

Did you double patch it on the last pull? The 17 is just such a tight bore, even with a bore snake the force required to pull through is disturbing. I'd do exactly what dutchhunter suggested.
