Stopped by my local farm & ranch supply. Wanted to load up on cheap 22 LR before the gopher season gets busy but they only had a few boxes. However they had some dusty looking 17 HMR on the shelf so grabbed 8 boxes at $17.50.

Its been a while since I saw HMR ammo below $20, I think the last ones I got were up around $25.

Nice score. Out of any caliber I shoot i always had the habit of grabbing 17hmr if I ever saw it on sale. Its been probably a year and a half since I found sub $18/box.

I haven't bought any from a retailer in a few years, but last brick I got inthink was $170, bought another Brick in a half last summer from a friend who sold his 17 for $160, I didn't realize it was up to $25 in some place, last time I seen it it was $20

I wonder if they were selling those bricks at cost back when these rifles first came out. They were very reasonably priced at first, then quickly doubled, and now, I've lost track.

During the last panic .17HMR seemed to be available and reasonably priced when everything else definitely wasn't. Almost had me convinced to buy one.

At Canadian Tire in Yorkton, Sask - on June 6, this year - Winchester 20 grain 17 HMR was $32.99 per box of fifty. So add 5% GST, and 7% Sask PST was $36.95 per box of fifty.

Hopefully nobody buys it. That's absurd. Even the Hornady stuff shouldn't be more than $20. I've got half a brick of it in my safe that I never use, maybe I should flip it all LOL.

On May 30, this year, from Cabelas.ca, I ordered CCI 17 HMR - 17 grain TNT bullets, which I think is a Speer line - was $25.99 plus GST and PST. Total was like $288 for 500 rounds, picked up at Cabela's store in Saskatoon, Sask. So far as I know, a CCI owned factory made (or makes) all 17 HMR ammo for CCI and for Hornady - I do not know where the Remington or the Winchester are made.

There was also Hornady brand 17 grain 17 HMR at Canadian Tire in Yorkton earlier this month - I think was Hornady V-Max bullets (?), and I do not remember the price tag for them - $28.99 (?) for 50.
