.17 HMR in a pistol!

I've recently heard rumors from a friend of a friend of a friend (I wouldn't speculate if it wasn't a good source) :evil: that there will be a handgun chambered for the .17 HMR round.

Anybody else heard of this?

Nothing says handgun like a 20 grain, 2500+ FPS second round!!!!
 
I just got a fall super saver paper from SIR mailorder they have a Taurus model 17C in .17 HMR (5", blued ,9 shot) on sale listed for only $308 (cat#408005)... so there you have it if anyone want one you can't beat that price. I'm pretty sure SIR doesn't sell (other) Taurus guns anymore so they won't be getting anymore in...

i have a Ruger stainless, single six "hunter" model in .17HMR and it's a real keeper, flat shooting and accurate, I'm trying to decide if I should scope it. The gun does bark alot and one should wear hearing protection.

Ya, I saw that too but it is a Taurus. Hope it doesn't break on you!
