200+- Yards is the limit for quasi-accurate shoot placement depending on skill and rifle quality. I used to hit Pop cans out to 350 Yards. Not on the first shot but I would be able to walk it in and once I got the line, I would be able to hit the can 4-6 times out of 10
200 for tagets should be fine, the wind will play with your mind at that range but it will work. I have shot my 22 flipper target (the one with 5, 1.5" disks)with my hmr @ 100 it is way too easy, 150 it starts to get fun.
The tough part is the wind....200 is fine....I take gophers at 200 with mine, so it is possible. Out past 250 is has to be dead calm or you will pull your hair out.
