.17 Hmr Pistol's

Hey i belive they are made by a hand full of company's i think a .17hmr pistol or revolver would be awsome for targets does anyone know are they availble in Canada and if so who has them how do they work and how can i get my GREEDY GRUBBY little hands on one Hahaha this is a must have to the collection any info is GREATLY appreceiated this will be if we can not get these in canada

I know there are revolvers in 17HMR, but i know of no such auto pistol chambered in it.

I have seen them in the EE in the past. Cant recall off the top of my head what make it was though. They do exist in Canada though.

I know my local gunshop back home had a used ruger single six in .17hmr. Heavy little piece O.O

There are no semi-automatic .17's in production currently because it was found that the ammunition was not suitable for a semi-auto action, and was prone to severly deforming or even igniting before the round was in battery.
