Took my .17 HMR to the range today. Boy does the wind ever blow these little buggers around!!!

17 grain has a higher velocity, shooting them in the wind has never been that much of a problem for me. I personally do not like using the 20 grain due to the round being slower and not turning stuff inside out as much without the v max tip. Try experimenting next time you are out with both rounds in the same wind condition and see if there is a difference.

The winds at the range I shoot at are the most twitchy and unpredictable I've ever seen. They literally blow both left and right, headwind and tailwind. The way the berms are set up is crazy. I tried the 17grn but my gun likes the 20grn more.
