17 hornet

Do you guys happen to know anyone who has a 17 hornet in stock? i have checked with a few sight sponsors and have had no luck. If anyone has one already what are you thoughts on it?
 
Prairie gun trader has the Savages in and so does Epps. Got a ruger on order. Not sure when they will make it up to Canada.
 
I think mark@ominecasfs.ca might be able to help you out. They had a bunch in stock, don't know if there all gone yet or not. I had a Savage on order locally but it has not shown up yet so I think I'll wait and get either a Ruger or CZ or maybe somebody else will annouce one at SHOT.
 
I saw a box of the ammo at the last gun show we had in Edmonton and opened the box and had a look. It is an interesting looking round, but I have a 19 Calhoon so I won't be buying a new rifle in the 17 myself. FS

Me either. the mod 25 just doesnt do it for me. Other then the odd rimfire I'm not planing any other savage purchases. The quality just isnt there for the price. Looked at a (model 14??) it was on sale for $687 and wasnt any better feeling then my axis. The wood stock was nicer thats really it.

I just got a nice 14 American Classic in 250 Savage. I think it is a mighty fine piece. Action seems nice and smooth and it is grouping very well at the range. I too love those nice walnut stocks they come with. FS
