Thanks for the reamer Dennis..........now any smiths out there that would be interested in converting a 17HMR 10/22 barrel to a 17 Mach2 barrel? Look forward to your replies.

The easiest and cheapest way to convert that barrel to Mach II would be to use a liner...

You can now import them from Brownells... for quite some time you couldn't... US rules changed. I built a 17 Mach II (on a 77/22) using one of these liners years ago... it shot 1/4 inch groups at 50 yards...
