17 mach2

CCI is still catching up on some of their better selling 22 lr rounds.

And since CCI loads all the rimfire stuff for themselves, Hornady and Federal they may not even be tooled up to run the (lesser) lines.

Of our two major ammo suppliers, one has Hornady 17M2 listed (in one flavour) but zero stock on hand. Our other supplier doesn't even have it listed.

You may want to zip an email off to the Korth Group who is (the) Hornady importer/rep for Canada. They may at least be able to tell you if any of their retail customers may have some if you are all out...

I'm not out yet but I'm getting nervously low. My local guy told me they have the Hornady listed and it's back orderable

The cci and Hornady go thru my chronograph the exact same and hit within the same dime size hole at 50 yards. They may say different on the label but the only difference is the color of the tip

Yah ,next time I see it on the shelves, I`m buying them out (kinda did that last time at our local Cabelas....but they only had 12 boxes)

There has been no stock of Mach 2 at my local Cabela's for over 18 months. I am holding off using this ammo as the supply is so poor. I think I am going for a couple 1,000 rounds next time I see any.

A production run occurred in the past two months, and some ammunition did make it to Canada, but many vendors don't bother with it any more. I bought 20,000 of the Eley rounds when the suppliers were liquidating it for $60 to $70 per brick, and I have bought up another few thousand from individuals since, but all that I see for sale now is Hornady, and the price is around $100 to $110 per brick. I am rationing myself to a couple of thousand rounds per year, and when I run out, I will likely just have a 22lr barrel installed on my Cooper.

I still have 1.5 CASES of CCI and 5 or 6 bricks of Eley left. Also have a bunch of random boxes of Hornady kicking around somewhere. I sold a case of CCI about a year ago.

Should keep my 3 M2's fed well into my 60's lol.

I was at Cabelas in Abbottsford awhile back and thye had like six boxes on the shelf.
I thought about buying it and passing it on (recoup funds of course) to a in need CGNer, but by the time the shipping dust settled I prolly wouldnt have helped anyone one out.

What was it priced at?

Talked to Cabellas in Moncton NB last week-----they have some on the shelf but will not ship, tried to find a Moncton Nutter that could pick it up and ship to me----no luck, maybe you know someone there that will ship for you?

Figure I shoot 10 rounds each time I go out. I hunt squirrel and rabbit maybe 20 times a year. That's only a 12 year supply. If i go plinking or use it more that live span shrinks rapidly

I keep on forgetting that not everyone has the same hunting experience that I do, where i often never even chamber a round!

I agree with the plinking comment, but I was never comfortable with using the Mach 2 for that due to cost.

Still a @ a 10 year + supply is a good place to be in. :)

My buddy got a new 17 Mustang. It's been back at the dealers longer than he's had it. He thought his 300+ hp 4 banger could take my 400 hp truck. Needless to say the old pony express riders would love his seats. They are comfortable but I think a 4 legged pony could take him in the 1/4 mile lol
